WHO WE ARE

The ATICA Study iscarried out by the Center for the Study of State and Society (CEDES) in cooperation with the National Cancer Institute of Argentina (INC), the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Harvard University, Deakin University of Australia and the Ministry of Health of the Jujuy Province, Argentina. 

It is carried out by an interdisciplinary team composed of professionals in different areas of scientific research, all with extensive background in the implementation of public policies and health intervention: sociology, communication sciences, statistics, software engineering, medicine, social work and specialists in primary health care.

Dra. Silvina Arrossi
Principal Investigator

Dr. Silvina Arrossi a sociologist, Docteur en Demographie (Université de Lyon) and Msc. in Public Health in Developing Countries (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). She is an independent researcher of the CONICET and research associate in the Area of Health, Economy and Society at the Center for the Study of State and Society (CEDES).

She is a consultant for the World Health Organization (WHO). Between 2008 and 2018 she was the Scientific Coordinator of the National Cervical Cancer Prevention Program.

Dr. Vish Viswanath
Co-PI (Subaward)

Dr. K. “Vish” Viswanath, has a Ph.D. from University of Minnesota, is a Lee Kum Kee Professor of Health Communication in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, in the T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH) and the McGraw/Patterson Center of Population Sciences in the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI)

Dr. Liliana Orellana
Co-PI (Subaward)

Dr. Liliana Orellana holds an MSc. degree and a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Harvard University. She is Associate Professor and Director of the Biostatistics Unit at Deakin University (Melbourne, Australia). She has worked on the development of novel statistical methods in the areas of robust statistics and causal inference, and has broad expertise working in multidisciplinary teams.
